The FLYING FISH: I've been eating lots of heavy meals in Paris and I was looking for something quick, light, and healthy and the sashimi at Shokado is always fresh (tuna, salmon, mackerel, and salmon roe), so I definitely recommend the sashimi or sushi a la carte.
The SASHIMI A LA CARTE: I came here twice for lunch. First visit I ordered the grilled mackerel, which came with miso soup and a cabbage salad. The fish was well seasoned and the skin was crispy. The chicken sushi rolls had fried shallots outside and were quite interesting and tasty. Overall the meal was very filling.
During my second visit, I was in a bit of a rush, so I ordered sashimi a la carte, beef noodles and some rice. The sashimi was very fresh: tuna, salmon, mackerel, and salmon roe. With some rice and pickled ginger, it was exactly what I was craving: something quick and light. The miso soup warmed up my palette and the salad had a nice crunch. The beef noodles came out hot, but were a bit bland. Not my favorite.
Restaurant was neat, servers were attentive. Quick, light Japanese food for a reasonable price in the 19th district of Paris.
